ISON Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Eung-Ug) in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, announced on the 5th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ilsung Electric Power Industry Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Ho-ki) to test the innovative "Floor Beam Solar Structure Modular Construcion Method" on the afternoon of the 4th.

With the signing of the memorandum of understanding, Ilsung Electric Power Co., Ltd. will apply the construction method to 3.5MW solar power plants in the mountainous area of Danguri, Gangdong-myeon, Gyeongju, which is scheduled to be implemented in the first half of this year.

In the meantime, the domestic solar power industry has lacked measures to cope with the failure of the module's horizontality due to land level differences when installing structures and the collapse of post-installation columns.

However, it was not practical to install supplementary devices because they were expensive.

In response, Ison developed an innovative "Floor Beam Solar Structure Modular Construcion Method" that uses corrosion resistant steel as the basis for products that are molded while finding easy and competitive construction technologies with Ilsung Electric Power Industry.

This technology is a technology that assembles structures, foundations, and modules from workplaces in advance and transports them to the site.

This construction method reduces construction costs by 20% compared to previous ones due to reduced air quality and ease of work.It is expected to establish itself as a next-generation solar structure method in the future as it does not require welding and foundation and can prevent the collapse of about 7 tons of foundation.

Existing solar power structures are installed in concrete basic methods or screw file work methods like mathematical formulas. Since this goes through complex construction stages in various processes, quality and work efficiency are determined by the proficiency of workers, and there has been a problem that it is difficult to reduce quality and manage manpower efficiently.

Related technologies have registered patents in South Korea and are currently applying for international patents.
